What is breathwork?
For so many of us, it's easier to stay in our heads — to think, analyze, and rationalize our way through all of the decisions and choices that come our way. But when we do that, we miss out on the messages our body and intuition are trying to send us that are integral for our growth. Breathwork offers an opportunity to slow down and access what's really happening inside.
Breathwork is a practice that uses intentional breathing patterns to bring awareness to your body and inner experience. My approach combines a conscious, three-part breath with different breathing rhythms and restorative techniques to help you move beyond the thinking mind and connect with what matters most.
Each session is uniquely curated for you and your needs, from the music we play to the pacing of the session. My goal is to hold a safe space for you to experience the magic of your own breath.
Breathwork can stand alone, in one-on-one sessions or in groups. It also pairs beautifully with coaching, allowing us to explore and work through emotions, energy, and tension you may be holding onto that stand in the way of forward movement.

Benefits of breathwork
Breathwork can have a range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits that can contribute to deeper healing. While every experience is different, the practice may support you in:
Releasing tension and stress: Soften physical tension and support a greater sense of relaxation.
Processing emotions: Connect with feelings that may be difficult to access or work through using words alone.
Supporting nervous system regulation: Encourage a shift between states of activation and relaxation.
Deepening self-awareness: Become more attuned to your physical sensations, emotions, and inner experience.
Finding clarity and perspective: Create space for new insights and a different way of relating to yourself and your experiences.

My sessions are uniquely designed for each client. This starts with a short intake form ahead of our time for me to prepare a session.
On the day, we'll begin with a conversation about how you're feeling, what you're navigating, and what you'd like to explore or receive from the experience.
Then, you'll get comfortable lying down, and I'll guide you through an approximately 45-minute breathwork journey. Using a conscious, three-part breathing pattern, music, and other supportive practices, I'll help you connect with your body and inner experience.
As you breathe, you'll be invited to notice physical sensations, emotions, and anything else that arises. This can support nervous system regulation, help you become more aware of and work through tension, and deepen your connection with yourself.
At the end of the journey, I'll gently guide you back to your natural breath and make space for integration. This is a time to reflect on what you experienced, and share anything you'd like to have witnessed. We'll close by exploring what you want to take with you from the session.

Breathwork sessions are 75 minutes and can take place virtually or in person. Each session is an opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and connect with yourself through the breath.
Most of my sessions are virtual, allowing our work to fit naturally into busy lives and changing schedules. I also offer in-person sessions in a private sunroom studio in Pasadena, CA. Home visits can be arranged for those who prefer to work in their own space in the Los Angeles or Orange County areas, at an increased rate.
Each session is unique, shaped by your intention, your experience, and what comes up along the way.

The foundation of my breathwork practice is a conscious, three-part breath, which involves breathing intentionally through the belly, diaphragm, and chest. This connected breathing pattern can help shift your attention away from the thinking mind and toward your body and inner experience. It may also support tension release, emotional processing and nervous system regulation.
Throughout the journey, I'll guide you through different breathing rhythms and incorporate vocalization, and visualization. Curated music and pacing support the experience, creating space for emotional release, relaxation, and deeper self-connection.

I believe growth involves a balance of movement and stillness, of doing and being.
The more active part of breathwork invites us to move beyond our usual patterns of thinking and connect with what's happening in the body. It can create space to feel emotions, release tension, and explore what's present beneath the surface, including discomfort we may have been avoiding.
But I believe so much of the experience happens in the stillness that follows. When we slow down, soften, and become receptive, we create space to listen to ourselves in a different way. We may discover something new, gain a different perspective, or simply experience the relief of being with ourselves without needing to fix or change anything.
My approach brings these two parts together: the active breathwork journey and the quieter space that follows. There's no particular experience you need to have or outcome you need to achieve. The invitation is to show up with curiosity, meet yourself where you are, and see what unfolds.

Breathwork is a broad term for practices that intentionally use breathing patterns to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being. There are many different techniques and approaches, each with its own focus and intention.
Somatic breathwork is a body-centered approach to breathwork. Alongside intentional breathing, it emphasizes awareness of physical sensations, emotions, and what's happening within the body. Rather than focusing solely on the breath itself, it invites you to become more attuned to your body's experience.
In my practice, the breath offers a pathway to explore parts of yourself that can be difficult to access through thinking alone.

Every breathwork experience is different. You might experience physical sensations, emotions, memories, visual experiences, or insights, or notice a sense of relaxation and connection with yourself. Sometimes, the experience is subtle; other times, it can feel more intense.
There's no right or wrong way to experience breathwork, and nothing you need to achieve. Whatever comes up, you're invited to meet it with curiosity and compassion. I'll be there to guide and support you throughout the journey.

While breathwork can be a supportive experience for many people, this style of active breathwork isn't appropriate for everyone.
During the practice, you'll lie down comfortably and be guided through a steady breathing rhythm, with opportunities to explore body awareness, emotional release, and deeper self-connection. Each experience is unique, and you're always in control of your pace. You can slow down or return to your natural breath at any time.
This practice is contraindicated during early pregnancy. If you're pregnant and would like to participate, please reach out beforehand so we can discuss appropriate modifications and whether the practice is suitable for you. If you have specific medical concerns, including cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, epilepsy, or a history of severe trauma, please consult your healthcare provider before participating.
Come Home to Yourself
There's something powerful about giving yourself permission to slow down and turn inward.
To move beyond the thinking mind, tune into your body, and make space for the emotions, sensations, and experiences that are asking for your attention.
Through breathwork, you have an opportunity to reconnect with yourself in a way that doesn't require words, answers, or a plan. Just a willingness to breathe, feel, and be.
